Level Up Suspension 1" Differential Drop [Colorado Std. & ZR2]

The bolts and spacers are high quality. But getting the new bolts in with the spacers in place is very difficult. Because you are only lowering the front of the differential, it now sits at an angle. So the bolt holes don't line up with the frame. after fighting and prying on things for a few hours. I finally pulled the bolts out of the frame cross member at the rear of the differential and lowered the cross member and the back of the differential down about an inch. Then the holes lined up for the front bolts. I then used my floor jack to push the cross member back in place. The differential drop doesn't do much. The mounting bolts are at the front of the differential in front of the axles. So the axle is actually lowered about 1/2" an inch. I checked the angle of the front axle with the 2" lift installed. It was at 14.1 degrees. After installing the differential drop the axles were at 12.5 degrees. so only 1.6 degree less angle. I don't think that small of a change is enough to make a difference in the CV joint or boot life. But it can't hurt.
